{"id":4496,"date":"2017-12-17T03:28:08","date_gmt":"2017-12-16T23:28:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sevanyc.org\/?p=4496"},"modified":"2025-09-28T00:03:40","modified_gmt":"2025-09-27T20:03:40","slug":"indian-day-bohem","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/sevanyc.org\/hy\/indian-day-bohem\/","title":{"rendered":"Indian Culture Day at Bohem"},"content":{"rendered":"\t\t<div data-elementor-type=\"wp-post\" data-elementor-id=\"4496\" class=\"elementor elementor-4496\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3eddca9f e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"3eddca9f\" data-element_type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6d19ad5d elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"6d19ad5d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p data-start=\"52\" data-end=\"149\"><strong data-start=\"52\" data-end=\"70\">On December 16<\/strong>, Bohem Art Caf\u00e9 in Sevan turned into a true celebration of <strong data-start=\"130\" data-end=\"148\">Indian culture<\/strong>.<\/p><p data-start=\"151\" data-end=\"484\">On the occasion of <strong data-start=\"170\" data-end=\"195\">International Tea Day<\/strong>, Bohem welcomed <strong data-start=\"212\" data-end=\"229\">Tatul Davtyan<\/strong>, Director of the <em data-start=\"247\" data-end=\"320\">International Center for Intercultural Studies, Education, and Dialogue<\/em>, along with <strong data-start=\"333\" data-end=\"356\">Katerina Goncharova<\/strong>, a cultural research group member and religious studies expert who has been collaborating with the organization for many years.<\/p><p data-start=\"486\" data-end=\"711\">In addition to demonstrating the process of making <strong data-start=\"537\" data-end=\"552\">masala chai<\/strong>, our guest experts took everyone on a deep dive\u2014starting from the history, uses, and spread of Indian teas, all the way to tasting freshly brewed tea on-site.<\/p><p data-start=\"713\" data-end=\"1190\">During the event, attendees had the opportunity not only to learn about <strong data-start=\"785\" data-end=\"813\">a dozen different spices<\/strong>, their meanings, and how they&#8217;re used, but also to <strong data-start=\"865\" data-end=\"890\">see, touch, and smell<\/strong> them firsthand. They watched a film about travels in India, got familiar with typical elements of Indian rituals and culture, asked questions, participated in a quiz, and, of course, wore <strong data-start=\"1079\" data-end=\"1110\">traditional Indian clothing<\/strong>, becoming for a few hours a small part of this vibrant and fascinating culture.<\/p><p data-start=\"1192\" data-end=\"1268\">It turned into a
