”Sevan Youth Club ” NGO established in 2008 in Sevan. The organization’s mission is to empower youth of the community for Sevan city development. The main areas of NGO’s activities are education, culture, tourism, and environmental conservation.

Our years of history have proven to the community that every project, even a small one, makes the community better, more colorful, and the environment more pleasant for the young person himself.
The most significant projects of recent years are:
1.“Bohem” studio-tea house” social enterprise. The aim of the studio is to develop a cultural environment in the community, create the space for cultural leisure and develop tourism in Sevan city. 2.Sevan International Music Festival from 2015-2023. The festival brought together 110 music bands and about 300 musicians. Around 70 businesses presented their production in pavilions and around 15000 tourists visited Sevan city. The budget was collected by crowdfunding, different grants, and donations.

3.“Postcard Armenia” initiative (2018) aimed to raise awareness of the sightseeing of the region, cultural heritage conservation. For this purpose, informative postcards were printed about 10 touristic routes of Gegharkunik region. The initiative was financed by Grenoble municipality and IRAPA platform

4.“Trip mate” (2021) project was a series of short videos and postcards about touristic routes of the region. At the end of the project the NGO prepared 20 types of postcards and 3 informative videos about the Gegharkunik region. The project was financed by “DVV International” Armenian office.

5.“Update” is a project about safeguarding intangible cultural heritage (2020). It is a partial inventory of the musical heritage of Gegharkunik. As a result, an electronic book of 10 songs was created and 3 concerts were held in the community. The financing institution was “DVV International” Armenian office.

7.“Update 3” is a project about safeguarding intangible cultural heritage (2022). This project aimed to update 3 songs from previous projects’ inventory and remake them by a modern singer or band. The financing institution was the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport.

8.Within the framework of Update 4, 10 old songs collected from the Lake Sevan basin were developed and prepared with local musicians, then a concert series was recorded.
9.The Power of Music adult learning project intended to give 20 adults a basic musical education. The participants were involved in 4 music labs: vocals, guitar, piano, and drums. A package of online classes was created by the organization and the project’s training team. The project was implemented by the financial support of DVV International Armenia.
10.Creation. In the frame of the project, about 30 adult people learned and received important skills in the sphere of pottery and crochet. The project of creation allowed the participants to receive education to develop skills like marketing, selling, design of products, and financial literacy. In addition, project participants shared their knowledge and skills with others, creating online videos of the lessons.
11.Creating of the cultural strategy community of Seven (co-applicant). Within the framework of this program financed by the EU, together with other NGOs of the community, developed the cultural strategy community of Sevan.
12.Untold stories program for preservation of folklore material of intangible cultural heritage of the region. Within the framework of the project, dozens of valuable folklore materials were collected and recorded, 10 of them were included in an e-book and widely publicized in a drawing competition-festival, storytelling, and podcasts. The project was financed by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Armenia.

13.Among other activities are the “WasteUp” training series, which trained youth of the community to recycle paper and plastic waste into different items. The trainers were the participants in the “From Trash to Treasure” initiative, which was successfully organized by GIZ and implemented in 2022 in the Sevan community.
14.«The Little Prince» Puppet Theater project, in which the resulting puppets were created from waste and the Little Prince was performed with environmental tones (2023-2024)
15.In 2019, the Sevan Hiking Club, the first in the region, was created in collaboration with the French company AFRAT.

16.The Hiking festivals in 2022 and 2023 were the first of their kind. Organized in collaboration with the French tour operator AFRAT around Lake Sevan.
17.In 2023, the first hiking trail of Sevan, the Sevan Dream Trail, was created and mapped.
18.Let There Be a Park – an ongoing, multi-layered initiative, the main goal of which is to create an urban garden in the community and form a culture of urban gardening among residents since 2020.

19.SevanNET is a youth cultural project, the goal of which is to create a youth community around Lake Sevan, who are interested in preserving the cultural heritage around Lake Sevan.
20.Nkoogh (Basement) – a youth creative platform for the entire community.
