Among the countless and endless videos on YouTube, there are sometimes those that we enjoy watching even more, simply because they feature our friends. Following this logic, by subscribing to Kolya952’s YouTube channel, we frequently follow the blogs of our Sevan friends (for those who don’t know, “Sevan friends” refers to the members of the Sevan Youth Club NGO). We rejoice, smile, and fill ourselves with positivity. But this time, when we clicked on the link we received, we were pleasantly surprised! Kolya, who is studying directing for feature films in the 2nd year at the Yerevan State Institute of Theatre and Cinematography, had uploaded a very interesting and qualitatively different video titled “Alarm” (Տագնապ).
It gives you a sense of pride when talented young people are creating in your hometown. Imagine how much more pride we felt when we saw that the lead actress was none other than Armenine Jamkharyan, one of the most active faces of our organization—who, by nature, is an actress, but for some reason, is professionally an accountant!
We had a brief interview with our heroine today and asked her to talk about the film, share their impressions, and any interesting moments.

The film was a very short clip, I would say it falls under the horror genre. As serious as the scenes were, they were equally filled with laughter during filming. I must say, in the hallway scene, the horror atmosphere was real because it was an uninhabited place, and various sounds were heard. The actress, Armenine, helped a lot in bringing the film to life, diligently shaping her character, and after experiencing such interesting filming, I would definitely like to work with Armenine again if given the chance.
Armenine Jamkharyan
This was my first time in the main role of a short film like this. I’ve had another experience before, but it was just a few seconds-long role, again in Kolya’s film.
Certainly, the filming wasn’t easy. My lack of professional experience was a hindrance, but with the help of the experts, Kolya and Arman, it seems I managed to overcome the difficulties. The filming process was really top-notch, pleasant, and filled with unforgettable moments. I’m grateful to Kolya for giving me this opportunity, and I hope our collaboration will continue.
A question that Kolya usually asks others in his videos, we’ve now slightly modified and directed it to him:
“Can an active young director live in Sevan? If yes, why? And if not, why?”
Kolya Hayrapetyan
Of course, YES!
Living in Sevan gives you the greatest inspiration, and that incredible atmosphere in Sevan is unlike anything else. Most of the time, ideas come to you right here.
We wish them all the best and encourage you to watch this video without any fears:
