This monument is a grand structure embodying the heroism and immortality of the soldiers from Gomadzor. It was built in 1981, on a pedestal covered with granite slabs and made of pink tuff stone, funded through donations. The author is architect Manik Manvelyan from the “Haypetnakhagits” institute, with the commission coming from his fellow villager, the chief engineer and deputy director of the same institute, Hovsep Hovsepian. The stonemasons were Vardan and Harutyun.

The monument stands 18 meters high and features two columns facing each other, symbolizing serenity and humility. Standing on the pedestal, with expressive shapes and harmonious proportions, the columns represent the immortality of the fallen soldiers. On the opposite side of the columns, rising from the midst of roses, is the “Tree of Life,” which resembles a trident and symbolizes peace and the eternal beauty of life, ready to withstand all adversities.
