On December 16, Bohem Art Café in Sevan turned into a true celebration of Indian culture.
On the occasion of International Tea Day, Bohem welcomed Tatul Davtyan, Director of the International Center for Intercultural Studies, Education, and Dialogue, along with Katerina Goncharova, a cultural research group member and religious studies expert who has been collaborating with the organization for many years.
In addition to demonstrating the process of making masala chai, our guest experts took everyone on a deep dive—starting from the history, uses, and spread of Indian teas, all the way to tasting freshly brewed tea on-site.
During the event, attendees had the opportunity not only to learn about a dozen different spices, their meanings, and how they’re used, but also to see, touch, and smell them firsthand. They watched a film about travels in India, got familiar with typical elements of Indian rituals and culture, asked questions, participated in a quiz, and, of course, wore traditional Indian clothing, becoming for a few hours a small part of this vibrant and fascinating culture.
It turned into a wonderful cultural exchange, one we hope will continue!
Դեկտեմբերի 16 ին Սևանի Բոհեմ արվեստանոց թեյարանում իսկական հնդկական մշակույթի օր ստացվեց ։ Թեյի միջազգային օրվա առիթով Բոհեմում էին «Միջմշակութային ուսումնասիրությունների, ուսուցման և երկխոսության միջազգային կենտրոնի» տնօրեն Թաթուլ Դավթյանը և կազմակերպության հետ արդեն երկար տարիներ աշխատող, մշակութային հետազոտական խմբի անդամ, կրոնագետ Կատերինա Գոնչարովան ։
Բացի մասալա թեյի պատրաստման գործընթացից , մեր փորձագետները սկսեցին ամենախորքից՝ հնդկական թեյերի , դրանց կիրառման և տարածվածության պատմությունից մինչև տեղում պատրաստածի համտեսում։ Հանդիպման ընթացքում ներկանրը հնարավորություն ունեին ոչ միայն ծանոթանալ մանրամասնմոտ մեկ տասնյակ համեմունքների նշանակությանն ու կիրառման ձևերին , այլ տեղում տեսնել, շոշափել , զգալ դրանք, դիտել հնդկական ճամփորդությունների մասին ֆիլմը, ծանոթանալ ընդհանրապես հնդկական ակույթին բնորոշ ամենտիպիկ երևույթներին հարցեր տալ, մասնակցել վիկտորինային և իհարկե կրել հնդկական հագուստ և դառնալ մի քանի ժամով այդ գունագեղ ու հետաքրքիր մշակույթի մի փոքրիկ մասնիկը ։ Հրաշալի մշակութային շփում ստացվեց , որը կլինի շարունակական :
