On May 30th and 31st we celebrated a major day by the Sevan. The Sb.Hreshtakapetac (Holy Archangel’s) church has finally been completed. On the 31st His Holiness of the Church, came to our city and anointed our knew church. He said that with this church our city will become an integral part of the religious body. Our consciousness, internal culture and pleasant lifestyle are all visible within the construction and decoration of our new church. We now have two important churches that stand seven kilometers from us. The church on the peninsula will still stand as a symbol for all Armenians, but in recent times it has become difficult for older members of our church to visit. Now they will be able to worship in a new and beautiful church within our community. It also brings the religious ideas to the center of our town. It is a beautiful gift and we plan to preserve it for as long as possible.
We would like to extend our thanks to those who donated gifts and contributed to make our dream become a reality. These two days will become very important days in history and it will stand for centuries to come.
